WWII Nazi German Japanese Axis Leader Cards Hitler Mussolini Konoe Postcards

Offered here is an unusual group of three vintage reproduction collector/display postcards featuring portraits of prominent German, Italian and Japanese Axis-era political figures. The illustrated portrait portions are old vintage copies, while each card has been enhanced with an original Third Reich Adolf Hitler postage stamp that has been tied to the card by a large commemorative Vienna cancellation dated 20 April 1942.

The three cards feature:

• Adolf Hitler — portrait beneath a German swastika flag, with Japanese identification printed below.
• Benito Mussolini — portrait in front of the Italian royal-era flag, again with Japanese text below.
• Prince Fumimaro Konoe — Japanese statesman and former prime minister, pictured in formal uniform beneath the Japanese flag.

The postal side of each card carries an original 1 Pfennig Deutsches Reich Hitler definitive postage stamp. Each stamp is struck with the large WIEN 20.4.1942 commemorative cancel incorporating a lightning-bolt motif and the inscription “MIT DEM FÜHRER ZUM SIEGE” (“With the Führer to Victory”). The April 20 date coincided with Hitler’s birthday, making the cancellation an especially interesting wartime philatelic element.

This is a visually striking grouping combining German, Italian and Japanese Axis imagery with genuine Third Reich postal material. The Japanese-language portrait cards make the set particularly unusual compared with standard German-produced commemorative material.

The cards show age toning, scattered foxing and other evidence of age, as photographed. The portrait/card portions are sold as old vintage copies and are not represented as original wartime photographs, while the attached Hitler postage stamps are original period stamps.

Sold together as the complete group of three shown. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition.

Historical collectible offered strictly for preservation, research and educational purposes.
