WWII Nazi German Silver IAB Infantry Assault Badge Medal – S.H.u.Co. 41

Offered here is a very high-quality reproduction of the WWII German Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber), patterned after the desirable S.H.u.Co. 41 manufactured examples.

The Silver Infantry Assault Badge was instituted on December 20, 1939 and was awarded primarily to personnel of non-motorized infantry and mountain infantry units who met the required combat-assault criteria, including participation in qualifying assaults on three separate days.

This example features an attractive silver finish and the classic design of the award: an oak-leaf wreath surrounding a K98 rifle with fixed bayonet, surmounted by the German Army eagle.

The reverse is equipped with the traditional vertical pin and catch arrangement and is maker marked:

S.H.u.Co.
41

This marking is associated with Sohni, Heubach & Co. of Idar-Oberstein, a documented wartime manufacturer of the Infantry Assault Badge. Original Silver Infantry Assault Badges bearing the S.H.u.Co. 41 marking are documented in collector references and surviving examples.

The reproduction offers excellent definition throughout, particularly in the eagle’s feathering, oak leaves, rifle, bayonet and sling. The silver finish and maker-marked reverse give it an especially convincing appearance for display.

IMPORTANT: This is a modern high-quality reproduction and is NOT being represented or sold as an original WWII-manufactured badge.

An excellent choice for a militaria display, reenactment collection, educational exhibit, replacement piece, or collector who wants the appearance of a desirable maker-marked Silver Infantry Assault Badge without the expense of an authentic example.

Please examine all photographs carefully for exact construction, finish and condition. Sold exactly as shown.
