Offered here is an older copy/reproduction German Feld-Postkarte featuring an actual black-and-white photographic print of Reinhard Heydrich attached to the postcard.

The printed card features a green and black design with a sword, swastika and laurel branches. The left side carries a quotation attributed to Franz Bayerfels:

“Unsere Waffen und unser Glaube sind das Rüstzeug der Heimat für den Sieg.”

Translation:

“Our weapons and our faith are the equipment/armament of the homeland for victory.”

The right side is headed “FELD-POSTKARTE” and features a separately attached actual photographic print of Reinhard Heydrich.

Heydrich is pictured seated in his black SS uniform and peaked visor cap, with prominent collar insignia and shoulder board visible. He is also shown with a ceremonial sword, making the photograph particularly interesting for its clear uniform, insignia and edged-weapon details.

An especially interesting feature is that the Heydrich portrait is an actual photographic print physically attached to the postcard, rather than simply being printed as part of the card.

Reinhard Heydrich was one of the most powerful SS and security officials of Nazi Germany, serving as chief of the Reich Main Security Office (RSHA) and acting Reich Protector of Bohemia and Moravia. He was also a principal organizer of the Holocaust and chaired the January 1942 Wannsee Conference.
